Why you must own a white blouse

My Style

Hello world,

I always get asked if I own an enormous closet because it looks like I’m always wearing something new. The truth is YES; I’m kidding I wish. No, my closet is a small New York city apartment closet size plus a cool industrial rack on the side :p. The secret to making the most out of my closet is by owning lots of neutral colors. I tend to find it easier to combine outfits in 50 different ways when it’s something neutral. Don’t get me wrong, I do own a couple of statement pieces, but I can do so much more with something white vs. a pattern. For example, in my OOTD I paired some flare jeans with this super cute white blouse. I love the details on this blouse because it’s chic enough to dress it up or down. I threw in some nude pointy heels to make my legs look long for days and of course some accessories to make it extra feminine. I was on my way to meetings and lunch before shooting this look so I dressed in something that made me feel like #GIRLBOSS. If I were to dress this look down I would pair it with a cute denim skirt/shorts and hat, along with some espadrilles. I could also make this blouse into a fall look by adding a black suede skirt, thigh high black boots, and a black hat. I would hold on this last look attempt if you live in nyc, because it’s currently 92F! You see! the combo possibilities are endless, which is why I mostly own white, blush, beige, brown, black, baby blue, and anything along those tones. As I finish this blog I am packing for Boston tomorrow, I’m so excited! It’s the first time I visit so it should be fun, specially on a 97F day weather.
