Hello world,

I wasn’t here for the most part of NYFW because I was traveling! A few months ago my pageant sister, from when I competed in Miss Mexico; decided to plan her bachelorette on that specific weekend. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to miss out on most of NYFW, but then I thought and came to the conclusion that it’s sort of the same thing every season. I wasn’t going to die if I skipped one season. Wrong! I almost did…as soon as I left the city everyone wanted or needed me here for work. They always want you when you’re not there! 😥 Since I was already traveling across the country, I decided to make a few west coast stops before I hit Vegas to party. I did NYC-SAN DIEGO-PALM SPRINGS-TIJUANA-SAN DIEGO-LAS VEGAS-NYC. I had a cough before I left New York and it only got worse as my trip went on. I had a lot of fun going home and in Vegas, but I came back home defeated and just in time for the end of fashion week. As I was trying to fight my virus or whatever it was, I was still dressed and ready for a show the Monday I got back. By Tuesday afternoon, I realized I had to cancel all the other shows and parties I had RSVP’d for. I was sick in my death bed and managed to go to a nyfw closing party on Wednesday night to end things right. Crazy right?! In terms of my outfit, I was really sick but wanted to make it #fashun haha. I have an orange obsession lately so I wore this full orange look and threw on a Kobi Halperin jacket to get some contrast. I was not in the mood to wear any heels, considering that I was barely alive; so my kicks did the trick. This outfit was very simple to make, but very eye catching. Fashion week is the time a year you can be extra bold, but I don’t need a fashion month to make that happen. Confidence, confidence, and more confidence! It will take you very far once you have it.
